The trek to Dhaulagiri Region typically starts with a journey by a private vehicle to Pokhara, or Beni, the access point of the trek. It then goes through terraced hills, rivers and isolated villages. You pass places like Darbang and Muri and Bagar, where the trail slowly leads you out of green farmland into mountainous terrain.

The landscape is different as you ascend. You will pass through the glaciers and the alpine forests and snow peaks.
