Your journey begins once you get off the plane at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). The air here is different, it’s fresh, exciting, and full of promise for something new. Directly after your arrival, one of our friendly staff members will be there to welcome you with a smile. They will carry your bags and show you your way through the airport with no trouble.
Kathmandu’s streets are always lively when you walk around. There is a blend of modern buildings and traditional temples, colorful prayer flags swaying in the air, and the constant noise of motorbikes in the city’s narrow streets. Although the city is lively and vibrant, it holds close ties to its past and culture.

The interesting ancient temples, palaces, and breathtaking wooden windows all display stories from the past. Bhaktapur is much calmer than Kathmandu, so there is time to enjoy its wonderful sights slowly.
You can stop for a moment at the Nyatapola Temple, which has five-tiered roof. In spite of earthquakes over many years, the temple’s construction stands as a tribute to Nepalese craftsmanship. Nearby is the Golden Gate, which glitters softly in the light, showing the way to the palace.

The day starts early, as you drive to Sarangkot, a famous viewpoint with one of the most beautiful sunrises in Nepal. The environment is clean and refreshing and the sky’s color shifts from a dark blue to soft orange and pink. When the sunrises, the peaks of the Annapurna Range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) become visible. The scenery is breathtaking and makes you feel like you’ve seen the most beautiful view of your life.
Once you’ve seen the sunrise, you start a short walk from Sarangkot to Naudanda. Along the trail, you get to see wonderful views from the sides of the ridge. You can also notice the Pokhara Valley from one side, with its peaceful villages and green surroundings. On the other side, the mountains can be seen. After that, you are free to explore Pokhara in your preferred style. You could walk by the lake, try a local café or look around in different stores. The quiet environment gives Pokhara its charm, so time seems to go slower and you enjoy nature everywhere.

While on your journey, you will see small villages with farmers farming their crops and children waving at you. As temperature rises, the landscape becomes wider and greener.
The shift in scenery becomes clear the moment you reach Chitwan. Rising mountains are now changed with thick forests and open fields which perfectly suit the wildlife in Nepal. If you want to see rare animals such as the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger and spotted deer, this park is one of the best spots in Asia to do so. Bird watchers and wildlife photographers will love visiting Chitwan because of the wide range of bird species found there.
Upon arriving at the resort and relaxing for a bit, the next highlight is an unforgettable safari on top of an elephant through the jungle. You move at a slow pace through the forest while seated comfortably on a gentle elephant. You can hear birds singing, monkeys moving through trees and the occasional call of wild animals echoing from a distance. The guide tells you to look for rhinoceroses, deer and maybe you will even see a crocodile resting by the riverbank. As the elephant moves forward, the calm surroundings help you enjoy the adventure in an incredible way.
With the sun going down, the resort becomes peaceful and calm. At night, insects chirp and wild animals can be heard. You could sit by a bonfire, hear tales from the jungle or take in the amazing view of stars above.

Day 07: Chitwan
The morning starts with the fresh sounds of nature, birds singing, leaves rustling, and the wild animals. After having breakfast, you will make your way to the core of Chitwan National Park for a fun-filled day in the jungle.
For the first part, you will go on a jungle walk and see nature up close as you step into the thick woods. The guide shows you along winding paths, highlights animal tracks, exotic plants and wild movements in the trees. Every time you walk, you can feel the excitement of being within the wilderness, where tigers, rhinos and deer live freely.
After that, you board a traditional canoe and gently float downstream. The water is still, reflecting the green landscapes and birds fly in the air above. As you glide by, there are crocodiles resting on the riverbanks and you only notice them because of their stillness. Kingfishers will quickly dive into the water to catch fish. It’s a good opportunity to quietly watch aquatic animals in their own environment.
After that, you’ll visit a Tharu tribal village and discover how locals live. The Tharu people have spent many generations here, getting used to the environment with their special skills and traditions. The final day at Chitwan starts with birds singing, leaves whispering and the morning air in the jungle being soft and warm. Once breakfast is over, we bid farewell to this amazing place and prepare to start the journey back to Kathmandu. Trip Information
What do you need to pack for a Nepal Tour?
Since Nepal is known for its interesting geography, you should focus on what to pack. As the weather in Kathmandu and Pokhara is not very warm, you should pack light and bring a jacket to wear when it gets chilly at night. Being in a lowland jungle, Chitwan is quite hot and humid, so choose loose and ventilating clothing. If you travel to Nagarkot and Sarangkot from December through February, you should take warm clothes since the weather gets quite cold at this time of year.
You should bring along simple walking shoes, a light rain jacket and clothing that dries fast when you go trekking or do outdoor activities. Wearing sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat is important when the sun is very strong which often happens at higher places. When you’re in a remote place with little access to power, a power bank is very useful. If you have a reusable water bottle, you will drink more water and cause less plastic waste.
While taking part in rafting and jungle safari, it is good to bring bags that don’t let water in, binoculars and insect repellent spray. When going to temples, it is a good idea to have a scarf or long-sleeved top for a more modest appearance.
Taking along simple meds like pain pills, band-aids and medicine for motion sickness may be helpful during a long trip. Also, make sure to have your passport and travel documents in both paper and electronic form, so there will be no issues while traveling.
What is the Best time to visit Nepal?
Nepal has four seasons and each one offers something different. The most recommended times to travel are in the spring (March-May) and the autumn (September-November). There are clear skies, good temperatures and beautiful views of the mountains during these months. Kathmandu and Pokhara are both full of activity and hiking trails continue to be recommended.
Between June and August, monsoons bring a lot of rain to Nepal which affects traveling, particularly in the jungle areas. Even so, the countryside turns very green and fewer visitors help make sightseeing much more relaxing.
In winter (from December to February), the sunrise and sunset are cold, but the valley areas near Chitwan are usually mild throughout this time. It’s an excellent moment to opt for calmer tours in Nepal, especially those related to culture and history.
During January to May, visitors who enjoy spotting wildlife will find animals in the park since they are drawn by water.
Everyone who enjoys festivals should know that during Dashain (September/October) and Tihar (October/November), the country is filled with parties, light decorations and traditional rituals. No matter what time of year, Nepalwill always have something stunning to share with you.
How can you adapt to the local culture and customs of Nepal?
Nepal’s culture is rich and deeply rooted in tradition. Valuing and respecting the people you meet can help you make more meaningful relationships with them. Don’t forget to wear modest clothing (with your shoulders and knees covered) when exploring temples and religious places, for example, Swoyambhunath Stupa or Patan Durbar Square. Always take your shoes off before you go into a sacred area.
A polite way to greet Nepal’s people is to say “Namaste” and fold your hands. It is usual to leave your shoes at the door when going into another person’s house.
Clean hands are used for Nepali food, so most people there enjoy meals without forks or spoons. When eating with others, you should eat with your right hand since the left hand is seen as unclean. Elders are held in high regard, so using terms such as “Dai” (brother) or “Baini” (sister) is a kind way to greet someone.
When taking photos in rural places, it’s appreciated if you as for permission before doing so. Though Nepali people are friendly, showing physical affection to others in public is not common, so it should be avoided. Smiling, being patient and accepting the local traditions will make your tour in Nepal better.
