Trip Overview

The Yala Peak (5637m) is located in Langtang Region, directly north of Kathmandu. The peak is accessed from Kyangjin Gompa on the Langtang Valley Trek. On the rest and acclimatisation day, climb upto Kyangjin Ri and you will see Yala Peak quite close towards the east. This is an easy trekking peak and just three days round trip from Kyangjin Gompa. From the summit, you will have a great view of the whole Langtang Valley and far into Tibet itself. If you want to have a simple climbing experince close to Kathmandu, this is your peak.
